Do I Need To Bring Anything To My First Meeting With An Attorney?
Preparation never hurts. With that said, we will tell you if you need to bring anything specific when you schedule your meeting.
Depending on the nature of your case, we might ask you to bring any supporting documents you have access to. Do you have evidence of your claim? For example, if you have a discrimination case, do you have emails that show you were discriminated against? Was there any communication with your manager or your HR department about the situation? We might ask you to bring that sort of documentation.
No matter what your legal issue, it is good practice to keep all documents that might be used as evidence all together in a safe place.
The first meeting is also a good opportunity for us to get to know each other. We will be asking you questions about what you experienced. Our attorneys welcome questions from you as well. It’s only fair for you to ask your attorney about how many cases like yours they have handled in the past and how they have turned out. Want to know any specific details about how the law applies to your case? Just ask.
We are here to help you!
